Who is Brand X?
Brand X consists of a small circle of talented designers, writers, project managers and developers, hand-picked for each client we work with. The strategic development and creative direction of every job is overseen by Jon Pietz who answers directly to each client. Jon focuses on helping your company connect with your ideal customers and on keeping your communications program in sync with your company's business objectives. The mission at Brand X is to help you define your brand so it's meaningful to your customers, and to help you build the communications tools that extend your brand essence throughout your marketing program.

About Jon Pietz

Jon has been in the communications business for 25 years, with experience ranging from major media campaigns for national clients to guerrilla marketing campaigns for niche startups. He worked for various advertising agencies and design firms in New Orleans, Miami, and Boston before joining Arnold Communications in Boston in the mid 1990s. At Arnold, he was a Senior Art Director on major consumer and business to business accounts. Later, he served for several years as Creative Director at Gearon Hoffman in Boston, where he helped build a strong creative department and significantly increase the agency's billings. Since forming Brand X Communications, Jon has been helping build successful companies with branding and marketing communications programs.

How we work

Do you enjoy bureaucracy and pretentious organizational behavior? If so, you won't enjoy working with Brand X. On the other hand, if you have just enough patience and energy for a direct, honest working relationship, you might enjoy our style.

  • We don't stand on formalities. If you are a client of Brand X we want you to be an integral part of the process. Your participation is crucial to success.
  • We can work on a project basis or on a monthly retainer, whichever you are more comfortable with. Once we understand the nature of your marketing or communications challenge, we'll assemble the team that's best suited for your account, or the project at hand.
  • Do you want to try us out and see if the chemistry is right? We welcome an opportunity to discuss a specific project you need help with. You don't need to make a huge commitment to get our undivided attention.
  • We start each project with an approved communications strategy which allows us to work together as effectively as possible. We can work from your strategy, or we can develop one with your input.
  • We listen to you and respect your opinions. We will always recommend what we feel is the best course, but ultimately trust that you know your company and the challenges you face better that we do.
